Three new members were elected to the GMVA: George Van Horn, Rex Campbell, and Robbie Brundrett.
Retiring from the Board will be Virginia Dellinger and Donna Gossett.  Both Virginia and Donna have been on the Board for more than ten years and we appreciate all they have done for the community.  Please thank them when you see them.

Primary Election
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Democratic and Republican Primary elections are being held on Tuesday, March 2nd.  You can vote in only one of the primaries.  GM residents live in Precints 32,45, 67 and 84.  Voting will be at four locations depending on where you live. Look at this Web site to find out polling places and candidates on the ballot.
Township Elections
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The next election is for the Board of The Woodlands Township in May.   The Township Board from now on will be resident elected.  This will be the first real election where we will be voting for board members who control what happens in the community.   There are four positions that are being elected. Residents interested in being considered for the positions can nominate themselves until March 8th.  For more information, see The Woodlands Township Web site.
Woodlands Township Meeting
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There was a meeting of the Woodlands Township on February 24, 2010.  Jeff Gannon and other residents asked for a senior citizens tax exemption.  The Board has asked the staff to prepare a study that will analyze the effects of a  10-, 15-, 25- or 50-thousand dollar exemption.  The Board will vote on the proposal in April or May.   You can read more about it on The Woodlands Township Web site.
