Grogan's Mill to Get a Dog Park
A new dog park will be constructed in Tamarac Park starting this week with the removal of some underbrush.  The park will be fenced, have a water station, and have benches. The park will be 22,000 square feet--about the size of the Harpers Landing dog park. Tamarac park is located on North Mill Bend Drive, between Many Pines and Six Pines.
The original announced plan had been to have the dog park at Sawmill Park, but more open facilities were found at Tamarac and the decision was made to move the park there. We will let you know when it will be opened, as we would like to have an inaugural party.
Farmer's Market
The Grogan's Mill Farmer's Market has closed for the season and will re-open April 3, 2010 with all the old vendors and some new ones.
Holiday Lighting Contest Winners Announced
Coby and Pamela Brand at 1 Cedarwind Circle won the Best House award. The Best Street was Royal Fern Circle just off of Fernridge.
The GMVA would like thank everyone for decorating their homes and neighborhoods.  We are glad that it was difficult to make our selection and that our Village is very festive for the holidays.
No December GMVA Meeting
There is no meeting in December for the GMVA.  The next meeting will be on Monday, January 18, 2010 at 6:30pm in the Community Associations building.
H1N1 Vaccine Information
The UTMB Montgomery County Health Department is providing the H1N1 vaccine to other public clinics and health care providers that are in need of more vaccine. Because supplies are plentiful, the UTMB Montgomery County Health Department is offering free H1N1 vaccines to anyone who wants it.
