GMVA Board Members
Sara Bissig has been a member of the GMVA board since 2011. Sara owns a small business that provides eco-friendly transportation in the Woodlands - Go Green Eco Taxi Inc. She is married, has lived in Grogans Mill since 1994, and has raised 2 daughters here. Sara is a child advocate. She has 3 dogs and loves animals, nature, music, reading and traveling.
Marie Brannen currently serves as President of the GMVA.
Tom Chumbley has been on the GMVA Board since 2014 and currently serves as Secretary. He has been in The
Woodlands since 2009 and in Grogan's Mills since 2010. He holds: a Bachelor
of Arts degree in Political Science, a Master's degree in Public Administration,
and considers himself a student of history, political philosophy, current
events, and issues of public administration. Tom became a single parent
of two young children (ages 2 and 3) for four years, with one child
being formerly profoundly autistic; he is now married with two additional
children. Tom has a passion for serving his community as a representative
and has served in positions of public service, in various capacities,
over many years, to include the: Army, County Executive's Office, City
Economic and Community Development Department, state Emergency Management,
and SC Governor's Office.
Bruce Cunningham has been a member of the GMVA Board since 2000, currently serves as Vice President
and has served as its president for several years. Currently
he works on the GMVA newsletter and Web site. Bruce has served
with the Woodlands Watch, Governance Committee, the RDRC, The
Woodlands CERT and graduated from the Woodlands Academy. He
is on his church's finance committee, a member and past president
of the Woodlands Cycling Club, he is also on the Board of theSouth
Montgomery Friends of the Library. Bruce works as a management
consultant and enjoys working out, bicycling, reading, travel,
theatre, cooking and wines.
Virginia Dellinger has been on the GMVA Board since 1990 and has lived in Grogan's Mill Village since 1982.
She is retired and enjoys duplicate bridge, tennis, and traveling. Virginia is very proud of her two
sets of twin grandchildren.
Mitzi Fredrick just joined the GMVA board in 2012. She is
looking forward to working with the other board members to
help improve our Grogan's Mill Village. Mitzi and her family
moved to Grogan's Mill in 1989 and truly love the village.
Mitzi is a retired teacher and paralegal. She now works part-time
selling Park Lane Jewelry and tries to spend the balance of
her time with her three wonderful granddaughters. Mitzi is
a member of the Woodlands League of Woman Voter and has volunteered
during several local campaigns. She has actively managed the
campaign each year for her husband, Vince Fredrick on the
Grogan's Mill Residential Design Committee (RDRC) over the
past 10 years. One year when there a large number of candidates
for the RDRC position, Mitzi stood outside the entrance for
early voting all six days with her tiny Yorkie, campaigning
for Vince (he was elected by just 3 votes!). The Fredricks
are also known for their holiday decorations that they put
up on Starviolet Street each year.
Jane Georges currently serves as an Area Representative of the GMVA.
Pat Goodpastor has been on the GMVA Board since 1996, serving as President in 1997 and 1998. Pat served 6 years as a WCA director. She has lived in Grogan's Mill Village for 36 years and has raised two children in Grogan's Mill. She is a 1997 graduate of Leadership Montgomery County and retired from Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Hospital where she was the Assistant Vice President of Patient Services for 21 years.
John and Diane Hennigan with daughter Kelley, have resided in Grogans Mill Village since 1991. John is a former Montgomery County Hospital Board member for five years where he was a three-year vice chairman and two-year legislative committee chair. He took on the position of Interim CEO of MCHD in October of 2011 for 6 months while the district did a CEO search. In addition, John was the founder and chair of the first St. Baldricks Day event in the greater Houston area which just completed it's seventh year. His motivation to participate on the Grogan's Mill Village Board is to support the village his family calls home.
Tom Howard serves as an Area Representative.
Bob has been a member of the Grogan's Mill Village Board
since August 2009 and currently serves as treasurer. He has
been active in auditing and formalizing its financial policies,
representing the GMVA at various community activities, and
monitoring issues related to proposed new flood plain maps
which may affect up to 400 homes in Grogan's Mill Village.
He has degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Management,
and post graduate education in Transportation Economics from
Purdue and Yale Universities. He is a retired transportation
consultant. He and his wife, Joann, moved from Northern Virginia
to Grogan's Point in 2006 to be closer to their son's family.
Jody Ronzio currently serves as an Area Representative.
Mike Tabbert serves as an Area Representative.
John Yoares serves as an Area Representative.
The Woodlands Township Directors who are Grogan's Mill Residents
Doris Provencio is the Village Liaison
for Grogan's Mill Village.
Jennifer Robinson is the Webmaster
of the Grogan's Mill
Village Web site. She lived in Grogan's Mill Village for five
years with her husband and children. Unfortunately, Jennifer
moved away from Grogan's Mill and misses it, but is glad she
can still be involved through the Web site.
